CANTINA VIGNAIOLI SCANSANO

    CANTINA VIGNAIOLI SCANSANO

Cantina Cooperativa Vignaioli del Morellino di Scansano was founded in 1972 and now has 160 members whose vineyards spread on the hills around Scansano (Grosseto), reaching a total of 600 hectares. Our production features Morellino di Scansano above all. Thanks to the location of our vineyards, we can offer various facets of this wine, a proof of the versatility of this product typical of Tuscan Maremma.

We believe social and environmental sustainability are very important in order to obtain high quality wines. This is why our philosophy has always been based on a strong participation from our members, with whom we share the common goal of offering excellent wines to our clients. We also participate in projects dedicated to environmental sustainability, such as VIVA Sustainable Wine, Carbon Footprint certification, and the use of the Internet of Things to minimise the environmental impact of our wines.

    PRODUCTION

Our production is divided into three lines: I Classici, which comprises wines that best represent our territory, including Morellino di Scansano, Bianco di Pitigliano and Ciliegiolo, an autochthonous variety typical of our area; Le Vigne, dedicated to some special single-vineyard selections, including our Vigna Fiorini or Vignabenefizio; and finally Scantianum, with wines mostly produced from a singly grape variety. All these wines are enjoyable and well balanced.
